This Saturday and Sunday, Emmanuelle Haïm will make her debut with the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester. The programme celebrates Georg Friedrich Handel, and includes two Water Music Suites (Nos. 1 and 3), and the cantata Il delirio amoroso with soprano Lenneke Ruiten. More information about the concert can be found on the orchestra’s website.
Elsewhere in Germany, Emmanuelle has a regular relationship with the Berliner Philharmoniker, and earlier this season conducted the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Looking ahead, Emmanuelle will make two exciting US debuts next season; with The Philadelphia Orchestra conducting works by Handel and Purcell, and with the New York Philharmonic in a programme of Handel and Rameau, both in November 2018.
