Etienne Dupuis sings his first Renato

This week, Etienne Dupuis makes his role debut as Renato in Verdi’s ‘Un ballo in maschera’ at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. No stranger to the house, Etienne has worked with them on multiple occasions for works including ‘Les Pêcheurs de Perles’, ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia’, ‘La bohème’, ‘Pagliacci’ and the title role in ‘Eugene Onegin’.
Conducted by Donald Runnicles and directed by Götz Friedrich, this production was premiered at the Deutsche Oper Berlin on 19 December 1993.
Etienne will return to the Deutsche Oper later this season for productions of ‘La traviata’ (conducted by Nicholas Carter, 15 & 20 October) and ‘Don Carlo’ (24 June – 6 July 2017).
Performances of ‘Un ballo in maschera’ run from 16-24 September. For more information and tickets, see the Deutsche Oper Berlin’s website.
