Gevorg Hakobyan makes his Bolshoi Theatre debut

Gevorg Hakobyan makes his highly anticipated debut with the Bolshoi Theatre as Gryaznoy in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride, joined by Kristina Mkhitaryan as Marfa. Gevorg will be returning to the Bolshoi as Tomsky in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades in the New Year. Previously this season, Gevorg performed Tomsky at Stuttgart Opera before performing Scarpia at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma with immense success.

Gevorg is a recipient of the Gold Medal and First Prize awards at the prestigious First International Pavel Lisitsian Baritone Competition, Moscow, and in 2011 was recognised as a Merited Artist of the Republic of Armenia.
