Haitink’s return to Asia – a major 2-week tour with the LSO

On 12 February 2013, Bernard Haitink returns to the Barbican for a sold-out performance with the London Symphony Orchestra, in a programme which includes Britten’s Four Sea Interludes and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.  This is the first of 3 concerts at the Barbican, which precede a major 2-week tour to South Korea and Japan – Haitink’s first return to Asia in 4 years.  In London and on tour, Bernard Haitink is joined by pianist Maria João Pires, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 17 and Beethoven’s Second Piano Concerto for these much anticipated concerts in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukui, Yokohama and Seoul.
