Harry Bicket makes return visits to Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras in the next couple of weeks, with programmes of Bach, Rameau and Handel. In LA he will lead Bach’s Sinfonia from Cantata No. 42, Handel Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 11, Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor, and Rameau’s Suite from Platée. In Cincinnati he is joined by renowned British counter-tenor Iestyn Davies for Handel arias from Partenope, Orlando, Rodelinda and Rinaldo, in addition to conducting suites from Rameau’s Platée and Les Boréades.
Earlier this season Harry made his debut with RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, returned to Lyric Opera of Chicago (Orphée et Eurydice), Metropolitan Opera (Le Nozze di Figaro), Royal Northern Sinfonia, and gave a masterclass with the Juilliard School. With The English Concert he has conducted European and US (Carnegie Hall) performances of Rinaldo (also with Iestyn Davies) and recording work. This summer he heads to Santa Fe Opera to conduct performances of Bernstein’s Candide.
