In the studio – October & November

– At the end of October, Franck Ollu and the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz record works by the Chinese composer Xiaogang Ye including 7 Episodes for Lin’an Po, Lamura Cuo and the Cantonese Suite.
November is a busy month for recording, particularly for Askonas Holt’s pianists and singers: 
– Kristian Bezuidenhout returns to the studio with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra to record Mozart’s Piano Concertos No.11 in F major, K.413, No.12 in A major, K.414 and No.13 in C major, K.415 for Harmonia Mundi.
– Following the success of her first disc on Chandos RecordsImogen Cooper returns to Snape Maltings to record a disc of works by Robert Schumann.
– Cédric Tiberghien begins work on the first of three volumes of solo Bartók works on Hyperion to be completed in 2015.
– For their latest Hyperion release, Jonathan Cohen and his Arcangelo ensemble are joined by Nicholas Alstaedt for a recording of CPE Bach’s Cello Concertos.
– Dorothea Röschmann joins Daniel Harding and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra for a recording of Mozart Arias to be released on Sony Classics.
– BBC New Generation Artist Robin Tritschler and Joseph Middleton record Vaughan Williams’ ‘Four Hymns’ at Maida Vale Studios in November. Joseph also joins Mark Simpson and Lise Berthaud to record trios for clarinet, viola and piano by Mozart, Schumann and Bruch, and with Kitty Whately and Lisa Berthaud for Brahms’ Op.91 and three songs for mezzo and viola by Frank Bridge.
