Jonathan Cohen debuts with the New York Philharmonic

Jonathan Cohen will make his debut with the New York Philharmonic this month, conducting five performances of Handel’s Messiah, which also feature Neal Davies and Andrew Staples, along with soprano Lauren Snouffer and countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo.

Jonathan’s debut will directly follow a performance at Wigmore Hall on 7 December with his ensemble Arcangelo and Askonas Holt artist Louise Alder. The performance will be recorded for BBC Radio 3, and broadcast on Wednesday 12 December at 7.30pm.

The performances in New York bring to a close a very busy few months for Jonathan which also saw him conduct projects with St Paul Chamber Orchestra, Les Violons du Roy and Orchestre de Chambre de Paris.
