Joseph Moog – ICMA Young Artist of the Year

Award Ceremony and Gala Concert to be held in Nantes, France on 15 May

Huge congratulations to pianist Joseph Moog, who has been announced as the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) Young Artist of the Year 2012!

The winners (who also include Krzysztof Penderecki and pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, who were awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award and Artist of the Year award respectively) will receive the ICMA Trophies during the annual Award Ceremony, taking place this year in Nantes, France, on 15 May.

The evening will also include a Gala Concert at La Cité, with the participation of ICMA winners and the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire conducted by its music director John Axelrod. The concert will be broadcast by France Musique and numerous other radio stations of the European Broadcasting Union’s worldwide network.

During the ceremony Joseph will be perform Liszt’s ‘Totentanz’, which also features on his highly successful disc of Liszt works from 2007.
