Joyce takes ‘Drama Queens’ to Asia

May 2015 sees Joyce DiDonato bring her Grammy-nominated “Drama Queens” project to South East Asia.  In an electrifying programme of glamorous arias from the 17th and 18th centuries which has had extraordinary worldwide success, we hear the larger-than-life drama that seemed to rule the life of the typical baroque opera queen. With music composed by figures as famous as Handel and Vivaldi and as little-known as Orlandini and Porta, she is joined by Italian ensemble Il Pomo d’Oro with their leader Dmitry Sinkovsky.
The tour dates are as follows :
1 May – Royal Opera House Muscat
4 May – The Esplanade Singapore
6 May – Culture Centre Concert Hall Hong Kong
8 May – Grand Theatre Shanghai
10 May – NCPA Beijing
