Julie Fuchs makes her role debut as La Comtesse Adele in Opéra Comique’s ‘Le Comte Ory’

Next week, soprano Julie Fuchs will make her role debut as La Comtesse Adele in Denis Podalydès’ production of Le Comte Ory at the Opéra Comique, Paris. Conductor Louis Langrée will lead a predominantly French cast featuring Philippe Talbot in the title role and Gaëlle Arquez as Isolier.

This continues a triumphant season for Julie, having recently completed her critically-acclaimed run of Nanetta in Falstaff at the Opéra de Paris and Giunia in Lucio Silla at the Teatro Real Madrid. Further ahead, she will return to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées for Morgana in Alcina, conducted by Emmanuelle Haïm, and make her house and role debut as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Staatsoper Hamburg before returning to her much-loved Opernhaus Zürich for the title role in L’incoranazione di Poppea.

Le Comte Ory will play at the Opéra Comique from 19 to 31 December before transferring to the Palace of Versailles for two performances on 12 and 14 January. For more information or to purchase tickets, see the Opéra Comique website.
