Many congratulations to Chief Conductor Maestro Karel Mark Chichon and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie who have just returned from a hugely successful tour of South Korea.
Following international tours in China (2007 and 2009) and in Japan (2011), the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie and Maestro Karel Mark Chichon were then invited to play in South Korea. They have just returned to Europe from this extensive seven concert tour, where they performed in Daejeon, Seoul (twice), Jeonju, Daegu, Jinju and Gumi.
The concerts have received many plaudits from the critics, including one article saying that the public had “the rare chance to watch two highly prestigious Radio Symphony Orchestras, Deutsche Radio Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in concert in Korea on the same day” together with their wonderful conductors (see link from popular Korean website “Naver.com” below).
The orchestra played overtures, concertos and symphonies by Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky and were joined by star violinist Viviane Hagner.
