Kate Royal makes operatic debut at Florentine Opera

Kate Royal makes her operatic debut at Florentine Opera as Margaret Hughes in performances of Carlisle Floyd’s Prince of Players, conducted by William Boggs.

The work premiered at Houston Grand Opera in 2016 and these performances mark the opera’s regional debut. Performances will also be recorded live for international release, marking the world-premiere recording of Floyd’s work.

This opens an exciting season for Kate with recitals at Oxford Lieder with Joseph Middleton, in Spain with Benjamin Appl and Graham Johnson, and further concerts with the London Philharmonic, Oxford Philharmonic, and Philharmonia orchestras.

Performances take place on 12 and 14 October. For more information, see the Florentine Opera website.
