Kirill Karabits makes debut with Münchner Philharmoniker

Kirill Karabits makes his subscription debut with the Münchner Philharmoniker this week conducting a French themed programme including both suites from Ravel Daphnis et Chloe and the Lalo Symphonie espagnole with violinist Augustin Hadelich.

Currently in his seventh successful season as Chief Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, this season also saw Kirill take over as Music Director of the Deutsches National Theater Weimar. His first season has already included an acclaimed production of Wagner Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and a performance of Wagner/Loriot Der Ring an einem Abend at the Philharmonie in Munich.

Recent and future highlights have included his debut with the Chicago Symphony, and a return to the Edinburgh Festival conducting the Russian National Orchestra. This season will also see his debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin conducting Boris Godunov.
