Kristian Bezuidenhout travels to Québec on 18 January and Montreal on 19 January to perform two Mozart Piano Concertos, No. 14 K. 499 and No. 18 K. 456, with Les Violons du Roy. The concerts will be conducted by their Music Director Designate Jonathan Cohen, in a programme also including Haydn’s Symphony No. 80 Hob I:80 and the first symphony by Danish composer Christophe Friedrich Weyse. Once back in Europe, Kristian makes his play-direct debut with the Concertgebouw Orkest on 26 and 28 January. He will direct Mozart’s Symphony No. 29 K. 201 from the fortepiano and lead from the piano as the soloist for C.P.E Bach’s Keyboard Concerto in D minor, and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 K. 491.
Kristian remains at the Concertgebouw to perform Schubert’s Winterreise with Mark Padmore on 29 January. This concert coincides with the release of their Harmonia Mundi recording of the same work. Preorder the album on Amazon, iTunes.
