Lars Vogt continues his journey with the baton this week with a conducting debut in Paris, directing a programme of Widmann, Beethoven and Schumann with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
This rounds off a busy start to the season for Lars which has featured concerto performances in the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, solo appearances in Salzburg and Barcelona, and his conducting debuts in Australasia. Lars has also focused on Brahms orchestral repertoire this Autumn with conducting and concerto engagements in Germany and Scandinavia. Last month, he commenced a recording of live performances of both Brahms piano concerti directed from the keyboard with his orchestra in Gateshead, the Royal Northern Sinfonia. The recordings will be released next year on the label Ondine.
