Louis Langrée appointed Music Director of Cincinnati Symphony!
Louis Langrée has been appointed Music Director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra from the 2013/14 season. The appointment is for four years and he takes on the role of Music Director Designate with immediate effect. He will succeed Paavo Järvi in this position, whose decade-long tenure concluded in May 2011.
Louis made his debut with the orchestra in March 2011. His next concerts will be in November 2012, when he will conduct two programmes including Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and music by Franck, Messiaen, Saint-Saëns and Schoenberg.
