Louis Langrée makes his Munich opera debut

Louis Langrée makes his debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich on Sunday 22nd September 2013 conducting Don Giovanni.
Simon Keenlyside, a Munich favourite, will reprise the title role with which he has had so much success, in a season which also includes Wozzeck and his first Macbeth in the house. Dorothea Röschmann, another Munich favourite, will give her acclaimed Donna Elvira for the first time at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
Following his debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Louis conducts the Camerata Salzburg in a European tour with visits to Baden-Baden, Stuttgart, Berlin, Essen and Bucharest. They will be joined by violinist Hilary Hahn who will perform Vaughan-Williams “The Lark Ascending” and Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3.
