Ludovic Morlot returns to Boston Symphony!

Ludovic Morlot will conduct two subscription weeks and a tour next season.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra have announced their 2011/12 season, which includes Ludovic Morlot replacing James Levine for two subscription weeks in Boston and a West Coast tour including performances in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The varied programmes include repertoire by Harbison, Carter, Mozart and Mahler.

In addition, Myung-Whun Chung will conduct the orchestra in November and Bernard Haitink the final three subscription weeks of the season. Cédric Tiberghien will make his debut with the orchestra, performing Ravel’s G major Piano Concerto with Christoph Eschenbach in March 2012.
