Moscow welcomes Britten

This weekend the celebration of Britten’s centenary reaches Moscow. Ian Bostridge, Iestyn Davies and Peter Coleman-Wright will perform The Canticles on Sunday 1st December in the Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire: a first for Moscow. Ian Bostridge and Iestyn Davies have already performed these Canticles together: in London, Hamburg and at the Brighton and Aldeburgh Festivals. Peter Coleman-Wright joins them in this repertoire for the first time.

Sunday 8th December sees the national premiere of Death in Venice in a gala performance in the glittering Great Hall again featuring Ian Bostridge, Iestyn Davies and Peter Coleman-Wright. Ian reprises the great role of Gustav von Aschenbach with which he has become synonymous after his performances in London, Luxembourg and Brussels. Iestyn and Peter have sung their roles in London and at La Scala, Milan.

Toi! Toi! Toi! to all three Askonas Holt artists.
