David Niemann visits the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie to conduct a special interdisciplinary project, joining together newly commissioned compositions inspired by works of German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe with the most renowned artists of the German-speaking poetry slam scene.
Performances take place in Frankfurt at the Freimaurerloge zur Einigkeit on Tuesday 11 September and in Hanau at the Comoedienhaus Wilhelmsbad on Wednesday 12 September.
David will travel to Barcelona later this month for performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Schoenberg’s A Survivor from Warsaw with Valles Symphony in Barcelona’s iconic Palau de la Musica. Return visits this season will include the Qatar Philharmonic, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse for a series of projects with Jean-François Zygel, Luxembourg Philharmonic and to Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier for concerts at the Opéra Comédie and in the region. This season’s debuts include concerts with Opera National de Lorraine and Orchestre Lyrique Région Avignon Provence, where he conducts an all Brahms programme and school’s concerts.
