Nathalie Stutzmann makes her US conducting debut with performances of Handel’s ‘Messiah’

Nathalie Stutzmann made her US conducting debut last weekend in Detroit, where she conducted the widely celebrated Handel’s ‘Messiah’. Joined by soloists Emöke Barath, Sara Mingardo, Lawrence Wiliford, and Stephen Powell, performances took place on 12 and 13 December at Orchestral Hall, Detroit.
Ms Stutzmann will now travel on to Washington for further ‘Messiah’ performances with the National Symphony Orchestra Washington at the John F Kennedy Center (performances 17, 18, 19 and 20 December).
