New release: Julie Fuchs Mademoiselle

Today marks the general release of soprano Julie Fuchs’ latest album for Deutsche Grammophon, Mademoiselle. Recorded with Enrique Mazzola and the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, the album includes a selection of bel canto arias featuring the music of Donizetti, Rossini and Pacini, amongst others. This record follows her highly successful debut album Yes! that focused primarily on French repertoire and was released in 2015.

To promote the album, Julie and Enrique will perform a number of launch concerts; firstly in Cité de la Musique in Paris on 7 March, followed by a concert in Aix-en-Provence on 9 March. Later in the season, Julie will tour the album with the orchestra to both Tivoli, Copenhagen on 29 June and Versailles on 3 July.

Following the launch concerts, Julie will make her return to Opernhaus Zürich where she will perform the role of Donna Fiorilla in a new production of Il turco in Italia. Other notable future engagements of the season include two concert appearances at the Salzburg Festival and Carmina Burana at the Opéra National de Bordeaux.
