Tenor Pavel Kolgatin makes his house debut at the Teatro di San Carlo this weekend as Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte. Maestro Riccardo Muti teams up with his daughter, director Chiara Muti, in this new production which opens Sunday 25 November.
Later this season, Pavel makes his Teatro alla Scala debut as Brighella in Frederic Wake-Walker’s new production of Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos, with conductor Franz Welser-Möst. Pavel will also perform at the Rossini Opera festival in L’equivoco stravagante, and will make his Lensky debut in Eugene Onegin at the New National Theater Tokyo. He continues his festival contract at the Wiener Staatsoper.
