Pavel Kolgatin makes house debut at Theater Basel in Cenerentola

This week, tenor Pavel Kolgatin makes his house debut at Theater Basel in two performances of Cenerentola. “From housemaid to princess”, in his opera, Gioachino Rossini takes the beloved fairy tale of Cinderella and creates beautiful and breath-taking coloratura arias. In the role of Prince Ramiro, this will be Pavel’s second run of Cenerentola this month – he made his debut in the role at the Nationaltheater Mannheim on 10 March.

Pavel, who is on Fest Contract with the Wiener Staatsoper, will return to Vienna next month to continue the season. This season, he has already performed roles in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, L’Elisir d’Amore, Adriana Lecouvreur, Salome, and Der Spieler in Vienna.

His first performance in Basel will be Sunday 24 March, with a subsequent appearance on Tuesday 27 March. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Theater Basel website.
