    Born in Cardiff, Sue studied piano at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and graduated with an MA in music from Jesus College, Oxford. She began her career in Germany, working as an au pair, ballet pianist and teacher. On returning to the UK she worked in the concerts department at the Philharmonia Orchestra and as A&R Manager at BMG Classics before joining Lies Askonas as an Artist Manager for singers in 1996. She was appointed to the Board in 2007. She has two young children and enjoys Evensong, Netflix and holidays in Wales.

    Assistant Artist Manager & EA to Donagh Collins

    Kate started working for Askonas Holt in January 2017 as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Office Manager, becoming Assistant Artist Manager in Spring the same year. Kate studied Music at Trinity College Dublin, graduating with a BA in Music in 2014. While at Trinity, Kate was very involved in some of the college’s musical societies; Trinity College Singers, Boydell Singers, and Trinity Orchestra. Since graduating, she has interned and worked for various music labels, companies, and festivals in Dublin and London. In her spare time, Kate loves playing the piano, going to gigs & music festivals, and travelling.

    Imogen grew up a keen classical musician, playing oboe, piano and singing, and played first oboe in the National Children’s Orchestra and NCO Sinfonietta. She later discovered her love of jazz and has sung in concert with renowned musicians including John Etheridge and Digby Fairweather.

    Imogen studied at Durham University where she sang in the University Choral Society and as the vocalist for her college jazz band, and graduated with a First Class degree in Modern Languages (French & Italian). As part of her degree Imogen spent a year living abroad, during which she studied in Rome and spent 6 months working at IMG Artists in Paris.

    Outside the office, Imogen loves singing and listening to jazz, good food, keeping fit and travelling as much as possible.

    Joel Thomas is a board director at Askonas Holt and is joint head of the singers division. Opera is Joel’s passion; since childhood he has developed an extensive knowledge of the artform. Born in the UK, Joel grew up in North America and attended Emerson College in Boston. He also lived and studied in Milan for two years. Joel was first introduced to opera when he sang in the children’s chorus of the Canadian Opera Company and Metropolitan Opera. Before becoming an Artist Manager, Joel gained experience at the Buxton Festival and Boston Lyric Opera. He was later hired as Assistant to the General Director of Boston Lyric Opera. In 1996, he became Assistant to the Company Manager at the Glyndebourne Festival. In January 1997, Joel joined Harold Holt as an Assistant to an Artist Manager in the vocal division. Later he joined Lies Askonas as an Artist Manager working alongside director Mark Hildrew. Since the two companies joined in 1998, Joel has progressed through the singers division and during that time, has had the pleasure of managing and developing many of the world’s leading classical vocalists.

    Jonathan studied piano and graduated in music from Goldsmiths, University of London. He worked for Radio 2 at Broadcasting House while a student, and then for Tower Records following his graduation. He has worked in Artist Management at Askonas Holt since 2001. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys cycling, cooking and attending the theatre.

    Vincent is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal (BA in French Literature and Music) and completed a Graduate Diploma in Arts Management from HEC Montreal. During and after his studies, he worked for the Opera de Montreal and the Orchestre Metropolitain. He moved to England in 2019 and joined Askonas Holt in February 2019 as an Assistant Artist Manager. In his spare time, Vincent enjoys cooking, travelling, playing tennis, scuba diving and watching sports.

    Jessica studied at the Royal College of Music in London before pursuing a career in artist management. As a violinist, highlights include performing for Steve Reich and with Dame Shirley Bassey. Prior to joining Askonas Holt in 2017, Jessica worked as Production Associate with Primavera Consulting, and previously enjoyed gaining experience with IMG Artists, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Singers and Spitalfields Music.

    Business Development Manager, China

    Shiyi joined Askonas Holt in 2017. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Arts, Enterprise and Development from the University of Warwick and before moving to the UK, worked for China National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra as Head of Stage Management and Production. She previously studied Music, Arts Management at the Central Conservatory of Music. Her hobbies include playing Erhu (a traditional Chinese musical instrument), cooking and travelling.
