Last night in Hamburg Peter Rose completed his Wagner marathon as part of the Hamburg State Opera’s Wagner bicentenary celebrations. Over a two month period he sang Pogner (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), König Marke (Tristan und Isolde), Gurnemanz (Parsifal) and Hunding (Die Walküre). A fantastic achievement. Tomorrow he begins rehearsals in Dresden, where he gives his world renowned Ochs, with Elina Garanca as his Octavian, conducted by Christian Thielemann in performances of Der Rosenkavalier.
Huge congratulations, Peter!
