Philharmonia Debut for Ben Gernon & Joseph Moog this weekend

Saturday 13 February will see two of Askonas Holt’s brightest young stars make their debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as their first appearance together!

Ben Gernon conducts a programme of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Sibelius, with Joseph Moog joining him for Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1.

In 2013, Ben Gernon came to everyone’s attention when he won the internationally-acclaimed Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductor’s Award.  This season he is working with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony and Scottish Chamber Orchestra among others.

Joseph Moog was named Gramophone Young Artist of the Year in September 2015, and has since been GRAMMY nominated for his latest concerto CD in the ‘Best Classical Intstrumental Solo’ category.
