This week, Piotr Anderszewski begins his residency at the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon with two concerts under the baton of David Zinman, performing Bartok’s monumental Third Piano Concerto.
Piotr then returns in December for a recital programmed around Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations, a piece closely associated with him since the release of his acclaimed recording with Virgin Classics in 2001. In February, he closes the residency with a play/direct concert featuring the music of Mozart and Beethoven.
In November, Piotr takes his Diabelli recital programme around Europe with performances in Sale Verdi in Milan, Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris, Berlin Philharmonie and KKL Concert Hall in Lucerne, among others.
