Powerful debut for Christine Rice

Triumphant Carnegie Hall debut for Christine Rice.

Christine Rice made her debut last week at Carnegie Hall with the Orchestra of the Metropolitan Opera in a world première of a work by John Harbison.

The critics were unanimous in their praise of her performance, with one critic saying “Christine Rice was the excellent soloist, masterfully phrasing the composer’s arcs as if she were a human extension of the horn section…her diction…made the printed text unnecessary.”. Berkshire Fine Arts called the work “powerful” and said that it was “sung beautifully by Christine Rice.” in her “big, glamorous voice”.

Congratulations Christine!
