Rodion Pogossov makes his house debut in Don Pasquale at La Monnaie

Toi toi toi to baritone Rodion Pogossov who makes his house debut this week in Don Pasquale at La Monnaie De Munt. The production, which debuted at Santa Fe Opera in 2014, will be conducted by Alain Altinoglu, and marks Rodion’s return to the role of Malatesta, the witty physician in this opera buffa.

This continues a busy period for Rodion, who made his Royal Opera House debut as Marcello in La Bohème earlier this year and returned to Santiago’s Teatro Municipal in Chile for Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia. This season he returns to Oper Graz for Lucia di Lammermoor in the role of Enrico Ashton and takes on Escamillo in Seattle Opera’s revival of Paul Curran’s highly-acclaimed Carmen.

Rodion performs Don Pasquale on 11, 13, 18, 20, and 23 December. For more information and for tickets, please visit the La Monnaie website.
