Rodolfo Barráez debuts with the RTVE Symphony Orchestra

This week, Venezuelan-born conductor Rodolfo Barráez makes his debut with the RTVE Symphony Orchestra and Choir in a concert pairing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major with soloist Tetiana Lutsyk and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 in C Major. The concert marks the third of the XXI Cycle of Young Musicians of the RTVE, the orchestras platform for young upcoming talented conductors and soloists.

Askonas Holt welcomed Rodolfo to its roster in October last year following his success at the Inaugural Siemens-Hallé International Conductor Competition in 2020 which resulted in an invitation to conduct The Hallé in Manchester. Forthcoming highlights elsewhere include dates with the Simón Bolívar Symphony, Minería Symphony, Bogotá Philharmonic and National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico.

The concert will be broadcast by Radio Clásica on Friday 26 March at 20:00 (CET) and recorded by RTVE to be broadcast at a later date.
