Rosa Feola makes house and role debut as Lucia in Basel

Toi toi toi to Rosa Feola who makes her highly anticipated house and role debut in a new production of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor at Theater Basel, opening this Friday. In the title role of Lucia Ashton, Rosa works under French director Olivier Py, and conductor Giampaolo Bisanti, who brings a distinct understanding of the Opera from past productions in Tokyo and Dresden.

This begins a busy season of debuts and returns for Rosa, who will travel to Opernhaus Zurich in early 2019 for Rigoletto and La Finta Giardiniera. Rosa collaborates regularly with the Swiss house and will return again next season. In April, Rosa makes her house debut at the Met Opera in a revival of Michael Mayer’s production of Rigoletto, under Maestro Nicola Luisotti. Rosa will then return to the Bayerische Staatsoper for Il trittico under Bertrand de Billy, and La bohème directed by Otto Schenk.

Rosa will perform in 13 out of the 18 performances of Lucia di Lammermoor. For more information and for tickets, please visit the Theater Basel website.
