Saleem Ashkar begins 2018 with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Saleem Ashkar travels to the US this week to perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, under Nikolaj Znaider. Together they’ll perform two concerts on 26 and 27 January at Orchestra Hall, the latter of which will be live streamed on the orchestra’s website.

This season, Saleem has toured Australia (where he performed with the Melbourne, Adelaide, and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras), performed with the Orchestre National de Lyon, and resumed his Beethoven Sonata Cycle residency in Prague and Duisberg.

Upcoming projects for Saleem include a tour to Japan, as well as performances with the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona, and Brno Philharmonic Orchestra.
