This week sees Sergey Khachatryan perform at two of Hamburg’s most iconic concert halls, the Laeiszhalle and the Elbphilharmonie, with the Hamburger Symphoniker. Also his Elbphilharmonie debut, Sergey will be performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto under the baton of Ion Marin, a piece he has performed recently with the Salzburg Camerata at the Salzburger Festspiele which was broadcast on ARTE TV.
In November, Sergey will give his debut performance at the Victoria Hall in Geneva with his sister, pianist Lusine Khachatryan, performing Mozart, Prokofiev and a selection of pieces from their native country of Armenia.
Further highlights this season include Sergey’s performances of Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Pietari Inkinen at the end of October, and with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra conducted by Markus Stenz in December.
Sergey performs at Laeiszhalle on 12 October 2017, and the Elbphilharmonie on Friday 13 October, at 4.30pm and at 8.45pm.
