Sergey Khachatryan will perform at the 7th Armenian Composers Art Festival, held under the backing of the President of Armenia. The festival is dedicated to renowned Armenian composer Eduard Mirzoyan’s 95th birthday anniversary. It will start on 15 January and will include four concerts featuring both classical and contemporary Armenian music.
Sergey will perform at the opening concert a piece written for him by Khachatur Martirosyan; his ‘Concert-Fantasia for violin and orchestra’. Sergey says of the piece: “Martirosyan came up to me and said that he had composed a special concerto for me, for which I was deeply moved, but because of a busy schedule I was not able to perform it during the past two years. But now I have a chance to do so”.
