The Símon Bolívar String Quartet makes some important debuts when they tour to the US next week.
Sunday 16 November sees their first performance in New York. Their sold-out concert at the Walter Reade Theater is part of the Lincoln Center’s Great Performers Series.
After New York, they travel to Boston, where they give two performances (on 18 and 19 November) under the aegis of Celebrity Series of Boston. During their stay, the Quartet also gives a masterclass at the Longy School of Music and takes part in a Side-by-Side event, a music-making initiative inspired by El Sistema of the Quartet’s home country.
Before returning to Venezuela, the Quartet has one more stop in Red Bank, New Jersey.
We wish the Quartet bon voyage!
