Simon Keenlyside and Malcolm Martineau embark on their ‘Winterresise’

Simon Keenlyside and Malcolm Martineau join forces once again as they prepare for an American and Canadian recital tour this month in a programme to include works by Brahms, Poulenc, Ravel, and Schubert. The tour takes them to:

25 November 2018, Vancouver Playhouse
27 November 2018, Palais Montcalm Quebec
30 November 2018, The Kennedy Center Washington
5 December 2018, Union College Schenectady
7 December 2018, Kimmel Center Philadelphia

Malcolm will also join Anna Netrebko for performances at the Lyric Opera of Chicago (2 December 2018) and Carnegie Hall (9 December 2018). He will then return to New York for two recitals at Park Avenue Armory with Thomas Oliemans, marking the end of his US dates this year.

Malcolm has had a wonderful start to the season working with regular partners including Dorothea Röschmann, Robin Tritschler, and Luca Pisaroni. Particular highlights have included Schubert’s Winterreise with Florian Boesch at the Wiener Konzerthaus.

In the New Year, Malcolm will return to Glasgow for his BBC Radio 3: A Life in Song series at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Catriona Morison, Thomas Oliemans and Sally Matthews, and will perform recitals with Florian Boesch at the Wiener Konzerthaus, Elina Garanca at Wigmore Hall and Sir Bryn Terfel at the Bayerische Staatsoper.

Whilst performing with these established artists, one of Malcolm’s great loves is working with the upcoming generation of new singers which this season includes Josep-Ramon Olivé, Samuel Hasselhorn, and Fatma Said.

Simon will also perform at Atlanta’s Spivey Hall on 2 December 2018 accompanied by Natalia Katyukova, in a programme of Schumann, Schubert, Wolf, Brahms, Debussy, Ravel, and Faure. Simon will return to the US in recital later this season with Natalia to perform Schubert’s Winterreise at Reinberger Chamber Hall, Cleveland on 19 May 2019, ahead of concerts with the Cleveland Orchestra and Franz Welser-Möst on 23 & 25 May 2019.
