Soraya Mafi, David Webb & Matthew Durkan make role debuts in ENO’s Midsummer Night’s Dream

ENO Harewood Artists Soraya Mafi, David Webb and Matthew Durkan make role debuts this week in English National Opera’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as Tytania, Lysander and Demetrius respectively.

They are joined on stage by three other AH singers. Eleanor Dennis sings Helena, a role she first sang at Britten’s own festival in Aldeburgh last summer. Robert Murray and Jonathan Lemalu also return to the Coliseum as two of the ‘mechanicals’, Flute and Snug, in this revival of Robert Carsen’s classic production, conducted by new-comer Alexander Soddy.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream runs from 1 – 15 March 2018. For more information and tickets, see the ENO website.
