Sylvia Schwartz was the star soloist in the recently recorded annual event: A Christmas Concert from Norway.

This stunning concert will also be enjoyed by millions of Americans once again this holiday season. Public television viewers across the nation will be taken to the historic church in the small Norwegian town of Hamar, for glorious music performed by world renowned musicians and singers. The broadcast of this festive concert is a Christmas tradition in Norway, and now is becoming a beloved part of America’s holiday celebration.

Featured performers include the Hakon and Mari Samuelsen; Sylvia Schwartz; the superb trumpeter, Tine Thing Helseth; the three time Grammy-nominated ensemble The Trondheim Soloists; Collegium Vocale and members of the Oslo Philharmonic. Featured music includes an American Christmas medley, works by Handel, Vivaldi, Morricone, Piazzolla and traditional Norwegian songs.

The host for A Christmas Concert from Norway was Princess Märtha Louise of Norway who recounts her childhood memories of Christmas.
