This Sunday, the Heath Quartet begin this season’s series of concerts at Wigmore Hall in London, exploring the quartets of Britten and music by Bach, Beethoven and contemporary composer Sofia Gubaidulina. The quartet have a longstanding relationship with the hall, and last season they hosted a series based around the quartets of Jörg Widmann.
Over the next few weeks, they will give several recitals around the UK including their debut at Saffron Hall and a return to St. Andrews University Hall in Scotland. November sees the quartet travel to North America for the first of two visits this season performing at Strathmore Arts Center, Maryland and The American Philosophical Society in Philadelphia.
