Tobias Feldmann makes his debut with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin this weekend. Collaborating with conductor Reinhard Goebel, he performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto in E-flat major – his debatable “sixth” for the instrument which is now thought to be the work of Johann Friedrich Eck.
The concerts on 31 October and 1 November represent the first of several high-profile debuts for the German violinist this season: others include dates with the Minnesota Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic and the Tonkünstlerorchester at the Musikverein with concertos ranging from Mendelssohn to Prokofiev.
Tobias began the season with performances at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, also with Mozart – though this time with the more conventional Concerto in A major. You watch him the same work below.
