Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with Sir Simon Rattle, Europe 2016
Apr 2016 - Apr 2016

Introduction

Askonas Holt is delighted to be collaborating again this year with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, joined this time with Principal Artist Sir Simon Rattle for performances at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Paris and Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels.

The OAE and Sir Simon Rattle will be exploring an eclectic mix of music from late nineteenth-century Vienna: Brahms’ Tragic Overture, a movement from the little-known composer Hans Rott’s only symphony, and culminating in Bruckner’s enigmatic Symphony No. 6.
