Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal | Europe | November-December 2017
Nov 2017 - Dec 2017

Introduction

Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal depart on their first international European tour with artistic director and principle conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

Two renowned Québécois soloists will join the Orchestra, namely contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux and cellist Stéphane Tétreault, as will two other artists frequently seen and heard in Québec, cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras and pianist Alexandre Tharaud.

Two programmes will be performed during the tour, and besides showcasing the Orchestra’s talent, the programmes will each include a work by a Québécois composer and, in a nod to their roots, works by French and English composers.
