Fresh from a highly successful European duo and trio recital tour, tonight Vilde Frang plays the first concert of her US tour, which sees her perform with the Seattle Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony and LA Philharmonic Orchestras.
Performing three concerts with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra this week, Vilde will be playing Elgar’s Violin Concerto conducted by Cristian Măcelaru. On stage at the Benaroya Hall, Vilde will perform on 1 – 3 February.
Vilde then goes on to give her debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall. Joined on stage by Osmo Vänskä, Vilde will perform Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto on 9 – 11 February.
Finishing her US tour with another highly anticipated debut, Vilde joins the LA Philharmonic for concerts on 16 – 18 February. Performing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Vilde will play Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and will be joined by Esa-Pekka Salonen.
Future highlights this season include performances with the Berliner Philharmoniker, Orchestra Mozart under Bernard Haitink, as well as return engagements with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, and the Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin. Vilde will also tour Switzerland with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
