This week Yevgeny Sudbin will make his debut with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal as Artist-in-Residence after Mikhaïl Pletnev had to withdraw due to illness. Under the baton of Conrad van Alphen, he will give two performances of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 on 9 and 13 January. In addition, he will perform a recital on 11 January which will include works by Haydn, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Scriabin. Playing some of the most loved works by the Russian masters, these concerts are not to be missed.
