Belarusian tenor Pavel Petrov is winner of the First Prize and the Don Placido Domingo Ferrer Prize of Zarzuela of Operalia 2018, The World Opera Competition, and finalist of the Belvedere and Queen Sonja International Music competitions.
Pavel is currently a member of the ensemble at Oper Graz, where his roles have included Alfredo La traviata, Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Cavalier Belfiore (Il viaggio a Reims), Prunier (La rondine), and Rodolfo (La bohème).
Pavel’s forthcoming engagements include his Wiener Staatsoper debut as Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) and Nadir (Pearl Fishers) for Oper Graz; Lensky (Eugene Onegin) for Stadttheater Klagenfurt; Duca (Rigoletto) for Opera Hong Kong and Alfredo (La traviata) for Savonlinna Festival. Pavel performs in a gala concert in Moscow with the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia alongside Asmik Grigorian.
