BREAKING: Last minute step-in and debut for Karina Canellakis with Danish National Symphony

Karina Canellakis is making a last minute diversion to Copenhagen this week before her impending London debut with the Purcell School in a fortnight, as she steps in for Yuri Temirkanov at the Danish National Symphony.

Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi said “Karina Canellakis is on her way to becoming a great conductor” and had already thoroughly recommended her to his orchestra late last year.

Currently entering her second season as Assistant Conductor of the Dallas Symphony, Karina Canellakis has rapidly gained international recognition as one of the most dynamic and exciting young American conductors.
