Kristina Mkhitaryan wins Golden Opera Prize

Congratulations to Kristina Mkhitaryan who has been awarded the Golden Opera Special Prize for the New Generation at the International Opera Awards ‘Opera Star’ (Lyric Opera).

The awards are held annually and began in 2010, organised by Dr. Alfredo Troisi. They are promoted by the foundation ‘Verona per l’arena’ and this year marks the 6th anniversary. The prize winner concert will be held in China in December 2017, where Kristina will perform and receive the award.

The Awards are for artists involved in operatic performances all over the world and who have received the most approval from critics and audiences during the previous opera season. The winners are decided by an independent panel and perform in a gala concert later in the year. The aim of the foundation and awards are to promoter and revitalise opera and to spread the message that ‘opera is an art which primarily a discipline of life and culture, a school of sacrifice and commitment, study and constant dedication.’

Congratulations Kristina!
