LSO debut for Veronika

This weekend Veronika Eberle makes her debut with the London Symphony Orchestra. Sunday’s performance of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto conducted by Sir Simon Rattle will closely echo an early milestone in her career; Veronika and Sir Simon first collaborated with the Beethoven at the 2006 Easter Salzburg Festival, on that occasion with the Berlin Philharmonic.

Sunday’s sold out concert will also feature Schumann’s Second Symphony and the lesser–known Hans Werner Henze’s Being Beauteous for the unusual group of soprano, harp and four cellos; the soprano part will be sung by fellow Askonas Holt artist Anna Prohaska.
