On tour: Askonas Holt & the OAE

Over the next few months, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment will embark on a series of European tours that see the orchestra perform to audiences in 11 cities across 10 countries.

Since first touring the OAE in the mid-1990s, Askonas Holt (and formerly Harold Holt) has had the privilege of arranging performances in Japan, Korea, Taipei, New Zealand, Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, the USA, Austria, France and Belgium. In 2016, our first project with the orchestra in mainland China and South Korea saw concerts with Ian Bostridge in Daejeon, Shanghai and Beijing.

For this year’s touring projects, the orchestra are joined by, among others, Principal Artist Sir Simon Rattle, Magdalena Kožená, Giovanni Antonini, Andrew Staples and Sir András Schiff.
